Hi all, I am new here and besides the intro post this is my first. So today is the day @ 1pm I've got a couple of cert. mechanic friends coming over to do a swap I've slowly been tearing down the seized enging for about a month now,,still with no sign of visible reason for the issue. The vehicle stalled on me while driving, with no smoke or noise. Currently have removed plugs, oil, timing cover, oil pump, intake manifold and coolant. I just hope the problem is the engine b/c I picked up a 98 5.4L on Friday showing 67K and it's ready to go in.
I am going to put new plugs and boots in and a new front pump seal the only other issue I see is the studs on the Lft. side manifold.
Let me know if anyone has any suggestions and I will take some pix and post them asap.

Good luck with that, I recently swapped my 268k 1997 5.4 for an 82k 2000 5.4.

But I did it the lazy way, by getting everything else attached (my new to me EB!) And the 97 isn't seized, so I still drive it! :smoke2:
