(2000) Expedition stalled out while driving?

5.4 L stalled whiled driving. And will not restart ( yes has plenty of gas and fuel pressure is 44 lbs so wer good there ) but with these darn coil over plug design how do i check spark. I fig ive got no sprk anyway cause all else is there . Do these 5.4 L have any known problems that may knock out power to my coils? or is there a asd relay of some sort that may have done this to me? PLEASE HELP Thanks Russ.

Rain Water, Boot and Coil

Are you getting any codes or is check engine light on?

Mine started running rough back in October 2010 and then again 2 weekends ago. Both times right after it rained. Turned out the spark plug boots were not working and rain dripped down the cowling onto the engine block and then down in the spark plug tubes. Casing the engine to foul and run rough.

This past time it fried the coil on Cyl 2 and cyl 4.
Got a stream of error codes: po174 - system lean, and 2 others I can recall for cyl 2 and cyl 4.

End result was I had to replace the boots and the coils.

Runs like a champ again.
