I have a 2000 Ford Expedition XLT 4.6L 4x2. Looking to upgrade my wheels and want the widest wheels I could fit on my ford (Note: no lift involved).

It currently has 17" stock rims. The chrome ones. Can you recommend to me a seller that stock ford rims and also the widest rims I can slap on my ford? 17" or 18" diameter ones will do. Thanks in advance for your help!

are you looking to keep the stock tires? you can put a 17x12 on if they make them that wide...the reason for lift is the tire...not necessarily the width of the rim...so what size tire are you wanting to ride on???

Thanks for your reply. For the tires, I haven't decided but definitely want the biggest tires that would fit the widest rims I can get while keeping stock height i.e. no lifting. I heard max would be 285/85? Is that right? Can I go thicker and wider still using 17x12's?

I'm looking at 18" x 12". Will that fit? Fuel Hostage 18x12 Black Wheel / Rim 5x5.5 & 5x135 with a -44mm Offset and a 87.10 Hub Bore. Partnumber D53118209547
Will that fit??

I don't know rims at all. But I will say that the widest tire you can fit safely is 285mm. The next number is the aspect ratio, which affects the height of the sidewall (85% of 285mm would be the height of the sidewall). I run 285/75/R16's which is a 33inch tall tire. I have never seen a tire with an aspect ratio of 80 or above on a 285 tire but doesn't mean they aren't around.

Great, thanks guys. You all rock! I'm going for the 285/75/R17 tires for sure. Rims will be 17x12 or 17x10 depending on availability. Cheers!!
