2001 expedition interior lights stay on

Are you saying the interior light never turns off? It should time out in a few minutes, even when you leave a door open.

Thats correct, yes, they stay on all of the time. I had to pull the lamps.

The only help I can offer is that one of the door sensors is bad. I've replaced several in my many Fords over the years.
If the lights never time out and turn off then it might be the GEM. I just replaced the one in my panther because the lights wouldn't turn on.

Are you saying it could be a permanent shorted button on the keypad?

Yes, you may have a short in the membrane. Perhaps water got in.. If you can unplug the keypad it may answer the question
