2002 Expedition 5.4 question

ok ive looked through the forums only to get mixed answers so i would like to know for certain

i have a 2002 Expedition 5.4 with a magnaflow cat-back, and a spectre cold air intake

so i was wondering if i remove the 2 rear cats am i going to get some kind of error code or CEL???

if so what do i need to get a non fouler or the 02 eliminators?

I would think that if you alreay have the exhaust and intake, that a programmer/tuner would be in order next. if you buy one make sure it has the ability to clear engine codes. then who gives a rats ... if it tosses a code, you can clear it.

It is in order but I found someone that could delete the rear cats really cheap I don't have an address right now as I am executing PCS orders across country so im gonna have to wait till I get a place before I order a tuner

the short answer is yes, it probably will throw a code, but probably for something like the O2 sensor, It shouldn't affect it other than that. just no longer 50 state legal.
