2003 5.4 wont start on first try..?

Hey guys,
My 2003 Expy wont start on the first try. I have to cycle the key 2 or 3 times to get it to fire and its worse when the engine is hot. It starts every time and runs great. Its been doing this for about 10000 miles..

So far I replaced the fuel filter, checked the gas cap, checked for codes still no better. I assume its a fuel pressure problem? Any thoughts? Fuel pump? Pressure regulator?

Always check fuel pressure when you have a crank but no start condition. You could have a failing check valve in the fuel pump assy or an injector is leaking down relieving fuel pressure.

Have you tried to put the key in the 'run' position for 20 seconds or so and then try to start it?
