2003 expy alarm problems

Hi, I have a 2003 expedition the last two days I have had to run outside to disable my expy's alarm. Frgid temps here in WA right now (single digits). ANyways first time happend about 4a.m. ran outside hit unlock button car unlocked but alarm did not stop. Hit panic button alarm did not stop, put key in ignition and started car and alarm did not stop. dIS CONNECTED BATTERY AND RECONNECT AND ALARM DID NOT COME BACK ON. However car after reconnect will randomly chirp with horn and lock doors. Drove around town not problem parked at work with no problem. Then this morning about 11am same exact thing happened. Any ideas? Only happened 2 times total in the last couple days. ANY IDEAS?

is it a factory security system or aftermarket?

It is a factory alarm

huh, don't know then. if you hit unlock and the vehicle unlocked, but the alarm didn't stop then i have no clue. sorry.
