I would like to upgrade my factory 6 disc changer to something like the Pioneer AVH-P3300BT. I am trying to find a unit that will support Bluetooth, HD radio and iPod input. My concern is that I have a rear seat (overhead factory) DVD player installed with my factory radio.

The questions I have are:

1. Will the new radio (or can any) control or receive audio input from the rear DVD player?

2. Will the steering wheel controls still work?

3. What kind of special wiring harnesses or adapters are required to do the above.

4. Are there other upgrade options available.

Any and all feedback or suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks!

I have a 2003 and also upgrades to a unit like what you are talking about.
1. Yes, most head units will have an input for your dvd player
2. Unfortuntely the steering wheel controls are sometimes hard to adapt to the aftermarket head unit, but it is possible with some so dont give up on the idea.
3. I had my installed at a shop so I don't know exactly what type of adapter to get but the shop told me it was a b*tch to find so make sure you are able to find the adapter before getting the head unit.
4. Pioneer is a good choice and you should be able to find what you need with them
