2003 navigator auto running boards

I know not quite an expedition but I have a 03 navigator, the driver side running board only seams to work for the rear door and not the front, any reason for this? Almost seems like it’s not sensing that the door is opening, also my side mirrors are trying to automatically fold in even when not pressing the button
