Hiya folks. I am brand new to this site (today). I am pretty active on some other sites, but had not been here before. Anyhow, it looks like a great site.

Here is my 2004 expedition. Full air ride technologies suspension. Shockwaves front and rear, controlled with RidePro E. These pictures are on 24 inch Lorenzo L7s which have been custom painted to match the body color. I have just ordered GFG Trento 7s, however, and they should be here in the next couple of weeks. Street Scene valance and Speed Grills, smoothed and color matched body cladding round out the exterior. The interior is Katzkin suede and leather seats. Dash, trim and steering wheel from www.phoenix-image.com. Alcantara suede headliner and A, B, C & D pillars, and a custom a/v system using MTX components.

That is HOT! Nice fiberglass work on the rear pillars, and the center console. Not many customized 03-04's, so I'm sure it's standing out.

Speed Main Grille

Hey GE2...

Sweet ride! I have a question though....

I just received my speed grill for my 2k4 Expy. The instructions say I need to remove the grill shell from the expy ....cut out the horizontal/vertical pieces from it.....and insert the speed grill into it. Did you have to do this? I didn't realize I needed to do this. I guess I should have asked them more questions.

Thanks,

HB

My body shop did it while everything was being painted, but yes-- it does need to be removed. You can use a small saw (fine blade), a dremel, or even tin snips. I then had mine sanded, smoothed, primed and re-painted.

Wow!

One more question.....

I held up my speed grill over the original.....and if I line it up evenly, I notice a small gap on each side at the top. Do you know if they bent yours a bit to adjust?

I know what you are talking about, exactly. I had the same issue on my last one, and this vehicle. But somehow, when you put it in, it just fits right.

oh..ok. :)

Where did you purchase those projector headlights?

How do you remove your headlights? I read the manual and it said to remove to top bolts then to loosen but don't remove the vertical bolt . The manual said it pulls straight out ...maybe I'm missing something.

I know you can get the heads at Stylinconcepts.com these days. As for removing the heads.... do just what you did. Remove the top two bolts. Then get a large flat head screwdriver, and wrap a shop rag around it. Put it in between the grill surround, and the inside, lower tip of the lens. Pry gently, and you will feel it pop loose.
