Checked the fuses and they are fine. When you push the "wash" button it triggers the windshield wipers but no pump...so assuming the switch isn't bad.

Any Ideas? Do the front and rear use the same pump?

looks like the washer pump is $17 at Advanced Auto...guess I'll swap it out this weekend and see if it works.

before you replace the pump I would first disconnect the connector and check to see if you have voltage at the connector you should see +12 volts or -12 volts depending on which switch you press.
Also when you disconnect the connector check it for any signs of corrosion on the contacts and use some dielectric on the contacts

Washer System

The windshield washer or the rear window washer is activated by the internal wiper motor modules when it receives a ground from the multifunction switch between the washer inputs. Dependent on the correct ground, the internal wiper motor modules activates either the windshield washer or rear window washer relay (internal) by grounding the respective relay coil. When either relay is activated, it connects voltage to the washer pump while the deactivated relay provides ground to the washer pump. In this manner voltage polarity is reversible to achieve directional change of the washer pump and washer fluid.

true but if you don't have voltage at the pump connector, then you have other problems which could be in the front or rear wiper assembly. Check for the voltage first rather than just replacing the pump

I have attached prints of the 03 washer system the 04 and 06 wiring diagrams are the same except for the connectors which I would have to check But this should give you some information as to how the washer system works. What you are concerned with is the operation of the Front and rear washer pump relays

have no pics but yes it is possible that the lines could be clogged or the spray heads clogged

What are your exact problems

things to consider

The washer pump is inoperative
Washer pump.
Multifunction switch.
Windshield wiper motor.
Rear window wiper motor.
Circuitry.

Principles of Operation

The wiper motors receive inputs from the following:

Multifunction switch
Powertrain control module (PCM)
Ignition switch
Central junction box (CJB)
The following components are integrated in the wiper motors:

Windshield wiper motor module
High/low speed relay
Run/park sense (Hall effect)
Washer pump relay

The above was copied from the 06 service manual and also applies to the 03,04 and 05 model years

being the rear works fine then I would say the pump is ok Raise the hood and remove any hose that goes to a spray head and check to see if you get water flow when you press the washer switch. . If you do then get some small gauge stranded wire and take one of the strands and clean out the spray head Most likely its clogged. Biggest cause of the nozzle getting clogged is auto wax

thanks for your help roxy1225....was finally able to get my voltmeter on the plug this weekend and confirmed that the pump is indeed toast. got 12.1 V when hitting the front washer button and 11.7V when hitting the rear washer button.....picking up new pump today after work!

Thanks again for the help!
