Been looking through forums and web searches, not finding a definitive answer.
2004 Eddie Bauer 5.4 with 83000 miles. Wanting to change transfer case fluid. Owners manual says Mercon.
I know that mercon was replaced by mercon V, so do i use that, or do i used the transfer case fluid XL-12, or looking at the motorcraft fluids mercon LV.
Whats everyone else used?
