2004 Expi - grill question

I bought an '04 expedition recently and it has a billet grill although I do think it's the proper 1 for the truck. I hav a gap between the plastic chrome piece and the grill, also a 1-2" gap between the top of the grill and the hood. This really doesn't seem right to me. Is there a plastic insert that should go around the grill? It doesn't have it if it's suppose to? Any help or ideals?

post pics of it so we can see...it should be held in with screws...that how mine is...so pop the hood...take the plastic cover off the radiator and reach down and adjust by loosening the screws...once in desired location...tighten back up
