2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer, I'm getting the 4x4H and 4x4L lights blinking on my dashboard. They will blink 3 times, about 5 secs apart, and then stop for about 3 minutes, then blink again in same pattern.
Since this started, I've noticed my Cruise Control will not stay engaged. I can turn on the Cruise, but when I set it, it stays on cruise for a few seconds and drops out.
I'm in NJ and dealing w/ the snow storm and now noticing that when I put in in 4x4H the light comes on, but I don't think 4x4 is actually engaged, at best AWD is working.
Also, when I switch in 4x4L, the light there won't even come on, but I know the light works, because it blinks w/ the first symptom I described above.
I'm thinking one of the control modules needs replacing, but not sure which ones. Thanks in advance for your help.
