My wife's 2004 Expedition is having some transmission issues. Whenever you put it in Drive, there is a delay and seems like it's having to build up pressure before it drives, almost like its in neutral. Then driving down the road it works fine, but when you come to a stop it starts over again. It has 110,000 miles recent tuneup. Transmission fluid is good, and bright red. No burn smell. I'm thinking its a leaking valve body, but not sure. Any advice? I am a Ford Diesel tech, but not much experience with gas transmissions. I have all the tools necessary to tear into it if needed.
