Looking into some new rear taillights. All the aftermarket 2005 ford expedition taillights out there are kinda outdated/cheesy. Came across the 2007 ford expedition taillights which have a more modern/clean look to them. And they look like the same shape as the 05. Has anyone been successful with this swap?

I've been to both ebay and Amazon and those are the lights that I'm talking about that look dated/cheesy. No offense. If you like that look. But I'm looking for something a little more modern yet clean. Like 08-17 Expedition taillights since the dimensions and brackets look identical. I'm thinking of ordering a set of and test fitting and if it doesnt fit return it. If anyone has tried this please lmk

Yes. and yes. you may have to get a new truck...to get the modern look you want. thats all we got for 2nd gen model the cheesy tailights.

.For the third brake light, this one was impressive build quality, even came with weather stripping that looked better quality than the OEM.

For the Tail lights, these look very similar to those on the newer larger ford explorers i see the cops driving, just add an LED reverse bulb and your set

I just completed a full LED conversion on this guy, even the headlights are LED. Im working on a custom grille because i cut out the factory one, and placed two 7 inch round offroad lights in the grille space. I also have LED light bars front and rear that are tied to a wireless keyfob. You can see the rear lights up on top in the second pic.
