well i see a lot of posts about it on the internet. just trying to find out what is causing it. i see bad voltage regulator, bad wiring harness, etc.

i had my 05 in 2 different garages. both said my battery and alternator are good. first said its a bad terminal on battery. that was changed. still had problem. other said loose wire. was good for maybe a week. now like and warning are on again. i work over an hour away from home so i cant be down and need to get this resolved. whats your experiance saying it is?

not hard to change the VR Using a volt meter check your battery voltage with and without the engine running. when running at idle check the voltage and then increase the rpm's to 1500 rpm's and see what the voltage reads the voltage should between 12.6 and 14.2 or in that range

When checking the charging voltage it is better to load the electrical system in order to force the alternator to produce max output. In laymen terms, turn everything on. Output voltage should run between 13.8-14.2v at the battery posts - engine at or above 1500 rpm.
