First things first, my name is Dakotah. I live in Missouri near Joplin. I'm a new guy to these forums, but I'm a member of a few other forums including RangerPowerSports where I'm a super mod. I know people get pissed when new guys don't use the search function, but I tried to use it and couldn't find what I needed.
Anyway, I don't have an expedition, but my mom has had two. A 2003 Eddie Bauer that she traded in on a 2006 Eddie Bauer. Both fully loaded, blah blah blah...She's having a couple of problems with the 2006 as of recent.
First off, the passenger side floor is always soaked with water after using the AC. I've heard this is a common problem, but I can't get it to stop. I tried to unclog the drain tube, but it's actually cracked right above the frame rail. Not sure what to do about this one.
Second off, earlier today, reverse quit working. Every other gear seems to shift just fine, but when it goes in reverse, the motor just revs. I went and checked the tranny fluid, and it was so low, it wasn't even registering on the dip-stick. I put in a full quart of fluid and started driving around and still no reverse. We did find out the last time she took it to Wal-Mart (I know, I know), for service, they "checked the tranny fluid"...that was 8 days ago. There isn't a drop of fluid in the garage. Not sure how that much fluid goes missing in 8 days without a trace. They're offering to pay for a flush/fill and filter change, but I'm wondering if this will help.
Third thing, the entire hatch and front edge of the hood are covered in bubble under the paint. The aluminum seems to have corroded and the paint is bubbling off.
The truck is covered until 75,000 miles on a comprehensive warranty, so I'm hoping this is all covered, but I'd like to know how to fix it if not.
Thanks in advance.
