2006 Expy AWD ?

When one switches from 2wd to AWD is there a light on the dash that would indicate this? I know it displays 4 high and low, If not, how can you can you be sure your in AWD without putting the rig up on jacks and watching the wheels go round and round..

i wouldnt recommend this but if its all wet out and you have it in awd. floor it. youll feel the truck trying to find traction and grinding. not good for the transfer case but you know its engaged. ive had it happen a couple time while its wet out. thats why i know. but i would assume there would be a light on the 06s. mine shows a light.

Mine tells me in the digital display - not sure if you don't have that - but take it to some gravel and a small incline - in 2wd you'll spin easy, AWD not so easy.... thats my advise - my lane works great for checking!

No, there won't be any indicator lights when it is on. Maybe when you initially change it it will flash across the info center, but it won't stay illuminated.
