I started converting all of the lights on my Expedition to LED, and for the most part things have gone well. I do have one issue though: my "puddle lights" (the white downward firing lights on the mirrors) stay on anytime the car is running. I followed someone else's writeup and replaced the flasher relay with an EP27 LED compatible flasher. The relay is located behind the glove box on a 2006. That fixed the rapid flash issues with the turn signals.

However, the puddle lights stay on when I'm driving. I don't think they did before I switched things out for LED lighting. They do turn off when I turn off the car, so I don't think it's an actual electrical problem. Page 276 of the 2006 Expedition owner's manual lists relay 2 as the item I should replace (I think?) But that slot is empty in the fuse box, probably because they relocated it to behind the glove box (as mentioned above).

Do I need to splice in resistors? Did I miss replacing a relay? I'd really rather replace a relay or other component instead of splicing in, but I need to solve this issue somehow.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have a similar problem with one of the rear passenger dome lights. I recently converted all interior lights to led lights and that one specific dome keeps that led bulb somewhat on (not fully on) when the truck is off.
