Hello I just purchased a 2006 king ranch with 66,000 miles on it,
I plan on towing a small 21 ft camper around 4700 lbs.
Your opinions on transmission service and spark plug changing , what miles would you recommend doing these in?
Runs great and getting 19.0 on Hwy and 16.9 to 18.6 around town

Any troubles to watch out for on this model and year?
Thanks Ronald

Just a heads up to, when we bought it we took it out for a 700 mile trip, run great until a floored it and the motor missed around 3500 rpm, so we took it back to ford dealer they hooked it up and found # 1 spark plug and coil miss firing, replaced and been running smooth every since

Replace the all the plugs soon with the new style before they wind up sticking and breaking in the hole. I am jealous of the King Ranch. I love those seats.

the trans can wait 5000 miles, and when you do it add a trans cooler too...

Spark plugs are critical with these engines, gone get anything other then motorcraft or autolight, very very picky motors! its probably a good idea to get new coil packs too!
