I have a 2007 EL Limited that I’m having a hard time tracing an interior light issue.

I noticed my dimer switch had failed, the switch would only activate the lights if you scrolled it to a very specific point somewhere in the middle of the switch and the door ajar function wasn’t triggering any lights.

Swapped the switch, for a used one off eBay…the lights will activate when scrolled all the way up, but not on approach or when the doors are open. Dash lights work but also aren’t dimming. I’ve checked every fuse I can associate to the lights. Door ajar notifications are functioning properly on dash. It’s like something is just not triggering the lights for some reason. I’ve looked into the settings everything I can adjust is active.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks!

If the OEM switch is available, I’d buy and install that and get rid of the used switch.

Was this issue resolved. I’m have the same issue. Replaced the dimmer switch with a new aftermarket. Still the same issue have also check all fuses. Internet forums talk about sticky door switch but they can’t all be sticking. No door turns the lights on. Also, there is no adjustment from the dimmer rheostat to the dash / stereo lights. Forms also talk about a faulty BCM.
