Hi! We're looking at used Expedition EL's with a growing family and whatnot.

I've got a couple lines out there between a 2007 with 60K miles for like 14K. And then a few 2010's, Limited trim with anywhere between 60 and 80K miles for the mid $20's.

Question for you all is: Is a 2010 worth lik $10K more than an 07 like that?

Thank you in advance for your answers!

I bought an 09 eddie bauer regular length last may with 85k for about $17800. It was the cheapest one in wisconsin available at that time. The rest with same miles were in the low 22-24k range. I either got very lucky or everybody is crazy on asking prices.

Ah, good points all.

Being in Southern California, it seems like our prices are a bit higher here than the rest of the country. That's the price I pay for being cool, right? hah.

I was reading recently about some of the tranny issues too and we do tow a popup trailer and want to go to something bigger so I think the "worked out" tranny in a later year Expy would be the way to go (or make sure that TSB has been performed on at least).

I am trying to factor in costs of spark plugs (say they all break upon removal) and the manifold issues but most of our car dealerships around here don't really care about that.

Anywho, thanks again for the insight. You share my wife sentiment on the issue which means I have to as well :)

I plan on moving to cali in 3 years.
I see navigators in the 07-10 range for less than 20k. I honestly would not pay more then 19k for a used gas SUV or Truck. keep looking if you're not happy with the pricing or you can beat that person up on the prices.
check craigslist. I would buy an 08 onward.
you might want to check imperial county listings. you being in LA im sure that's not helping you.
