Here goes... I have a 2010 Expedition EL with 135K on it. About 3 months ago, vehicle would not start and had to be jumped off. Not very inclined on electrical issues but did buy a multi meter and noticed a significant drop in amps when the fuse for the rear entertainment was pulled. We have infrared cameras outside and at night, it appears there is an overhead light on in the 2nd row of the vehicle. After further inspection, realized it was the infrared lights coming from the DVD player (guessing remote control area) while fuse was plugged in. Left fuse out and ran fine for a few days until same symptoms started again. Replaced the battery and vehicle ran fine for 2 weeks with no charging overnight and then dead again. Ever since, battery has to be put on charger overnight in order for vehicle to start in the morning. The 2nd issue is the a/c blower. Occasionally, upon start up or while travelling down the road, the FRONT a/c blower will stop. If you wiggle the wires to the resistor on the blower motor it will come back on. I have checked the wires for a short and even replaced the connections to no avail. Has anyone else had these issues or can point me in the right direction? The blower issues and the electrical issues both started at the same time. Thank you in advance.

YOu may just need a new battery and a new resistor. Erh....you said you replaced the battery. Was it a new battery? At 8 years old, maybe a little early for the resistor, but not a record-setter. Have the battery/charging system checked (for free) at AutoZone/Advance Auto etc. Blower resistors are a lot easier to replace than it looks like. It could also be the blower motor is failing. Thats more common than the resistor.

I doubt the issues are related.

Welcome to the site.

I suggest starting with the stickies in the Electrical Section on the forum. Once that is covered you can post the pertinent information to start troubleshooting.
