So..... can these be retro-fitted to a 2011 Expedition? I mean will they bolt on and fit correctly? I can see my way to make the electrical connections but I suspect they must require a sensor somewhere to make the blind spot detection work, correct?
We have them that would fit your 2011. Here's a link to them. Just match the options that you have to the tow mirrors options and they would be a plug and play install .

Does this top part pop off and back on again, or do any caps like maybe chrome exist for it??
Kinda concerned about night visibility since it lacks reflectors or clearance lights, wanted to paint the top of mine or put a chrome cap on it if possible
