2016 Limited heated seats

New to me 2016 Limited 4x4. Has heated and cooled seat buttons that work but can't really ever tell the heat is working. When you put them on high heat setting shouldn't your butt get kind of toasty? Other cars I've been in you can definitely tell they are on and I usually have to turn them down. The button lights up like it should. High then medium then low then off. Just want to make sure before I going tearing seats apart looking for an issue. Thanks!!!

Like anything else electric, see if you can find a writeup somehere. If not, look at the shop manual for a pinpoint test. The thing has a computer module controlling it. Ultimately, I suppose it has a heater element somewhere you can check the voltage flow going into. If it's getting voltage and isn't heating, it would be the heating element. I'm just supposing here... I never had one of these.

My module went bad and the passenger seat wouldn’t heat or cool. Check for codes with forscan or bad fuse

Confirmed same burned out ground pin. Cut and spliced in new connector. Works great now. Thanks for the info.
