2016 XLT Factory Stereo Upgrade From 4” to 8”

Can anyone confirm if it is a simple swap of the factory units? I can get an 8” from a wrecking yard but I am unsure how much the stereo is embedded into the vehicles functions.

It's seriously embedded. Check out Infotainment.com. You can get some information from their website. Not a quick and easy swap.
