2018+ are they Direct injected only or Both Port & Direct injected????

I am getting conflicting information. And I dont know who to believe now.

Does anybody know for 100% certain if the 2018+ Ford Expeditions 3.5 ecoboosts are Direct AND port injected? Someone told me that the change for the 2nd gen 3.5 ecoboosts with port and direct injection was only for the f-150's and not the expeditions 2018 up....?

Every 3.5EB from 2017+ (gen2) is PI and DI.
You can tell these are gen2's because of the power figures versus gen1 3.5EB.

He was referring to the engines that came in the Expedition and he is 100% accurate. Any Gen 4 Expedition has both PI and DI.

Since the 2.7 doesn’t come in the Expedition really not a factor for the question that was asked. If we want to get picky, not even all EcoBoosts in 2023 are Both. The 3.0L Nano found in the Explorer ST, Aviator, and Braptor is still DI only.

It is. The 2017 have the 1st Gen 3.5. You have a 3rd Gen Expedition.
