The big thing that EVERYBODY needs to remember. Ford is NOT keeping the programming and module config the same in a generation or even a model year anymore. That is proven by the fact that the 18/19's programming is different than the 2020's, and the 2021's even have a few small tweaks. With the chip shortage, Ford is making more changes even more often. On the 21+ 150's we are seeing changes after updates. Not only does the module matter, but the version will too. I haven't seen the modules on a 22 Expy yet, but I expect them to more closely match the 21+ 150 than the 21 Expedition. You change a bit based on previous coding, and if you did not back up, you could be REALLY sad. There is nobody that I am aware of mapping differences between the versions in this community, like there is in the 150's. With Russia and Ukraine and the FORSCAN developers being in Russia, there is risk of less and less support(They can't get paid). If you are on a 22, be very careful of the changes you make, and BACKUP before every change.

Now that we have Sync 4 and OTA updates, LokiWolf's warning might go double. My Experience with the Mach E is that they just kind of randomly happen every now and then, and you might not even notice them until you're on your way out the door.

Hey, Loki.

Do you know if the temp numbers can be added on the 12" digital center gauges? I also changed the turn signal clicks from the default 3 to 5. I like it to linger a little longer since I take my time changing lanes. :)

I liked those ForScan mods on my 2019 one.

And since there is only one color for ambient lighting, I can't really think of anything else that i would want. It would be cool if the Ford logo could be replaced with a Timberline one. I don't know why they don't do that for the Special Edition models.

They can! Assuming you are talking about the Instrument cluster, and not Sync. You might need to contact FORSCAN support and get a Beta link. We can do it on the 21+ 150's and it is in the drop downs for the IPC. I am currently using a Beta, an older one, but it works on my 150, and is still a newer version than the current release version. If you are talking the Sync Screen it should be doable also...just haven't done it, but the 22 150's lost the knob display and have the zone temps on Sync.

I was trying to change a couple things on my digital instrument cluster. Basically, I want the temps to appear under the gauges as they were on my 2019 Expedition.

When I go into ForScan v2.3.47, I am getting a 'Gain security access failed - security key is wrong' when I go to write the settings to activate the 'Digital Engine Oil Temperature' and 'Digital Transmission Temperature' settings in the IPC Module.

Has anyone worked on the Expedition or F-150 that has successfully changed those settings?

Do I need the v2.4.5 beta 3 version to make changes?

I am running the Beta, and successfully changed it on my 2021 Job 2 F150. Should be the same module for the digital IPC.

Anyone know if the 22’s have adaptive glare free headlights and able to turn on with forscan?

@LokiWolf I’m coming from a 2020 raptor, so I am used to being able to customize nearly everything.

Edit: Found the folding mirrors easily in the menu once they delivered the vehicle. Now I’d like to silence nearly every beep/chime permanently (they wake up the baby). Have you seen a Forscan sheet for the 2022 yet?

@LokiWolf are there any updates to this? Anything adjustable in the APIMs on 2022s yet? Namely adding digits to gauges, bambi mode, stuff like that?
I've been following the brave folks trying to enable bluecruise....

People should NOT be trying to enable BlueCruise on the vehicles without the camera to monitor the driver. IT IS A TERRIBLE idea. It is fraught with so many issues. Are you honestly going to trust you and your families life to a HACK? The people using the weight on the steering wheel are morons, and should have their license pulled. As you can tell I am passionate about this. They say they are the only ones at risk, and that is BS, because anybody on the road with them is at risk. If you have driven any of the BlueCruise/SuperCruise/AutoDrive available vehicles you would get it. It needs to have all the nannies possible because these systems are in their infancy. GM's Supercruise is the best I have used to date. Also factor in I own a 21 150 with BC enabled from the factory.
And secondarily, anyone know if anything like the bambi mode, global window mode, or auto stop/start disable ones on this spreadsheet work?
thx to Livinitup on the F150 page.
Stay away from the 150 coding, from what I have seen it does not match, not to mention Ford is changing modules left and right because of the chip shortages. I would stick to the drop down options in FORSCAN if they are available for a 22+. Most of what you mentioned should be available if FORSCAN supports your Strategy. Contact FORSCAN support. I haven't been able to plug in to a 22 for any extended time yet. Maybe I will need to go sit on the lot and play with one.

Thanks. TBH cruise control in most of my state is useless due to traffic. Adaptive would be maddening to me.
I'll see if I can plug in to the 22 and if anything comes up, but would sure like to get into some options. Mine's an earlier-'22 build.

@LokiWolf Since the HD Tow models lose Active Park Assist 2.0...you think it could be enabled in Forscan if an owner adds the button? Ala when someone adds the trailer brake controller?
I think all the items are there to do it, no?

@ExpyNole Sorry I missed this! Yes, but they removed it for a reason on the Heavy Tow, and honestly haven't seen a good explanation as to why they can't coexist. Now Active Park Assist is being removed in general from most that are shipping. My guess is there is another control module that is completely removed. Not just the button. The button wouldn't save them anything, and the reason it is being removed in general is to save chips. So don't think it would be as easy as coding and a button sadly.

I just checked at the Forscan site, and looks like they are up to version 2.3.50 for Windows as of a month ago, with claimed "improved support for 2022 and 2023 MY model". Has anyone experimented with their 2022+ to see if we now have the ability to customize features?

You have an adapter? If so, plug it up, and read it. If you get the drop down options for the BCM, then it supports that Strategy.

I was asking because I haven't updated my Forscan setup since 2018 when I dialed in my last Expedition. I think I read that once Forscan got to a certain version that it wants an updated adapter that doesn't have to manually switch between the two busses. I was hoping to hold off on investing until I knew we were there, but maybe I'll just take the plunge and see what happens.

Yeah the classic Elm327’s with the switch really aren’t encouraged anymore. Not even sure they will work at all. Haven’t used one in years. I use an OBDLink MX+ most of the time.
