I'm trying to remove one of my captain's chairs in the middle of my expedition for easier access to the back seats as I have small children getting in/out all the time, but it looks like the only way is to unbolt it. has anyone else had to do this?

I did it 2 weeks ago. You have to unbolt it. Made the interior look and feel a LOT bigger.

I was hoping that wasn't the case but I guess I will have to give it a try. Thanks!

Did you take out the middle seat in a 2018 or 2019 model?

I believe the bolt is a 55 Torx head. You'll need a good wrench.

Is this for the 2018+ Expeditions? Is there a guide I can review to take out the seat? Thx!

never taken a captains chair out but I've taken all the other seats out

either put bolts back in or stick something like rope caulk in there to plug after

I bought some rubber mat from home depot and trimmed and fit to cover floor after
