3rd brake light bulbs?

Has anyone replaced the bulbs in the 3rd brake light? If so what kind of bulbs are they? Mine is an 03 eb. Thanks for the help!

The book calls for 168 bulbs. You can use 194 bulbs if that's all you can find. The difference is the 168 is a little brighter than the 194. Get the long life 168's if you can find them.

Ok thanks for the information. Are these prone to burning out a lot? Should I go ahead & replace all the bulbs even though only a couple are out?

I had to replace 2 at my last inspection. Left Jiffy Lube (inspection) drove across the street to Autozone, bought the bulbs, borrowed a screw driver, unscrewed the cover, replaced the two bulbs, put cover back on, drive back to Jiffy Lube to complete the inspection (took less than 15 minutes for the entire bulb transaction/installation). Not sure which bulb it was, I bought a pair of whatever Autozone's computer brought up.
