Well, once again the rearend moan between 45mph and 70mph has returned. Dealer has committed to replacing the rear once again. It sounds like the pinion bearing is pematurally being worn out. Anyone know if the Explorer's are having the same problems with the 3:73 rearend?

# 4...

Once again... the rear has to be replaced. I am not doing anything unusal with this. It is strictly highway miles. With 40K on her now and a new rearend (new part#) we will see how long this one lasts. Does anyone else notice a high pitch whine coming from the drivetrain? It increases in frequency the faster you go.
