I just bought the monroe kit to convert my 4 wheel air susp on my 2001 to standard suspension, once it comes in ill do a write up on it, and put some pics up. I still plan on lifting my truck, but it started snowing very lightly today, so I think that will have to wait until next year round tax time. Working on a vehicle in the snow isn't much fun. I put a tranny in my 84 suburban in the snow, didn't have a garage, the damn thing died in the middle of winter, I had to have mu buddy tow me home in his sierra 2500.

I got my parts for the conversion, now i got to wait for the weekend so i have time to install them

I do have 1 question though, it says the springs have a top and bottom, but i see no markings to indicate which end is which, anyone know how to tell?

I was supposed to move into a converted barn this spring that had a ridiculous garage attached to it, along with a very nice 2 bedroom apartment, some ***** offered the guy 2x what he wanted for rent, and he rented it out to him instead of me even though i had it set up to move in once some other people moved out. He wanted 450/month for rent, dude offered him 900/month,and he doesn't even live there, He stores his lawn equipment there. Did i mention that guy is a dick?

I got the same kit and there is no top or bottom on those springs. Maybe I installed them the wrong way but I haven't had any problems with the ride or anything.

When you get it done you have to tell me how the handling is and how bouncy it is, right now im rollin on 4x2 springs and fricken underweight torsion bars and the ride blows!

I would call the guy up and tell him whats up, tell him to save some money and MOVE

The instructions state there is a top and bottom, i can see no difference though.

Right now I have a lead on some 7700 Tbars that im going to install because im putting heavy bumper on, that wont be till spring though, but ill see how the ride is with the air ride tbars.
Basically I bought the conversion kit so I can use it though the winter, my ass end is way to squirly with out any springs, and I don't want to drive like that in winter. i already got kicked out of walmart for doing doughnuts in their parking lot ( i couldn't resist)

Alrighty so I installed the rear portion of the conversion Last night, and there is definitely a top and a bottom to those springs, the little spring mounts are 2 different sizes. The larger hole goes towards the bottom. weird thing was I had to install them so the tag on them was upside down, They wouldn't work the other way.
It raised the ass end up at least 2" (rear airbags were holding air, keeping ride height were it goes to after it squats down, front blew out,and killed compressor), and I cranked up the Tbars to match it. Right now it drives kinda funny having good shocks in the back and not in front. I plan on tackling the front later today, Ill put up a few pics later today, I'm going to bed now-I work 3rd shift.

By the way if anyone wants to know the sick crap they do making pepperoni, ham, and salami let me know, ill gladly tell you, seeing as I don't like Tyson, and I work there

Does anyone have any experience with the Monroe 90010 Kit?
I got one real cheap and wondering if it is worth installing.
Might just sell it instead.

I got the rear installed, Ill take some pics, the front im going to tackle today. I work 3rd shift so its hard to get motivated to do a project when Ill probably end up doing it in the dark, like I had to do with the rear. I spent yesterday installing a amp for my front speakers, only catch was I installed it where the factory sub was (didnt work) it was a huge freaking pain. worst was trying to run the wires the the speakers, it sucked trying to get them thought those rubber things that they run the door wiring harness though. Well at least thats out of the way now. I just need to get me some subs, amp and a 0 gauge wiring kit.
