I know that the owners' manual for my '98 Ex states that the A4WD and 4 HI can be engaged at speeds up to 55 MPH, but how fast can you drive in A4WD and 4 HI? My rear gears are 3.73s.

A4WD can be driven at any speed . There are clutces in the transfer case that bring the front wheels up when the rears slip
