I am trying to replace the cooler bypass tube. It would be a 10 minute job if it were not for an exhaust shield running next to the transmission pan. My hand simply will not fit between the shield and the transmission to get to the front line. What is the secret to defeating the shield? I have all connecting points unbolted, but there is just not enough room to roll the shield out of the way. It surely cannot be as difficult as I am making it.
