4x4 high light wont turn on

Hey guys just joined forum and have a question I have a 2005 xlt expedition and problem is when switich is in 4x4 High it will shift into 4x4 but the dash light wont turn on to tell you its in 4x4 high. When turning on the truck both high and low lights turn on so I know its not the bulb any feedback would help thanks

I'm having this same issue on a 2007 LTD. When I attempt to shift in to "AWD" or "4H" the info center will display "4X4 shift in progress", but afterwards the "4x4" indicator never comes on. When I shift into 4L the "4X4 Low" indicator comes on.

That tells me the tcase motor is engaging and that the 4x4switch on the dash is working at the 4L position.

Why isn't the "4x4" indicator coming on?

Dont know why but light came back on and I am happy lol
