So I bought my first 4x4 and it's an eddie bauer expedition. And I had a question because I am having trouble with the 4x4. The front wheels are not spinning as rapidly as the rear wheels. When I engage it into 4x4 the:think: front drive shaft moves so I know it's not the transfer case. The reason I'm asking is because I got stuck in the river. I already mended one of the vacuum hoses located behind the battery on the passenger side. But I still feel like the front should spin as fast as the rear. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you drive it on a hard surface then it would bind if the front axle was turning slower in 4x4

Okay so I updated my signature.
I hear no binding when I drive slow. But when I was at the river it was the reason for me getting stuck. My rear wheels would spin but my front wouldn't go as fast.

I guess a better question would be.. If I get on gravel or wet grass. Should all 4 of my wheels leave ruts if I mash on the gas.. If I do that only my rear wheels leave marks.
