6 disc changer not working

finally got the correct cartridge for my changer... and it doesn't work... i can see the discs cycling out of the cartridge into the changer (it does this till it tries them all then stops) but they never play... head unit displays "no cd" very frustrated.... any help will be appreciated... thanx all.....Scott

is this an actual changer or in-dash changer...if in-dash i suggest buying a new head unit...mine went out after 3yrs...only know of one person on here that took it apart to actually fit and they were successful...dont know what they did...good luck

Usually when that happens there are a few causes:
1) cd not loading
2) laser not reading or electronics bad

Since it isn't working correctly you could open it up and see if the cd's are loading. The manufacturer may be indicated on the unit, google for repair shops if you want to keep it. Can also watch ebay for the same unit - you never know what you can find there.

I have the same problem. Mine says "NO DJ" worked fine last week now i cant fix it. Oh and usually when you get the no cd it means you have disc in backwards( not insulting you just saying might be worth flipping them over and trying it)
