98 Eddie Bauer Struts????? Wtf are they

I have a 98 expedition 4 x 4 Eddie Bauer edition I need to get strut support and for the life of me I can’t find out what flipping size I’m supposed to have I was told the extended length has to be 18 inches. Accidentally bought some that were 14 inches overall length are those to short? Would rather get the Ranchos. As far as I’m aware previous owner has 1 to 1 1/2 inch body spacers.
