99 Expedition XLT 5.4 flush ?

Do you guys recommend a transmission flush at 194,000 miles. Feels like my transmission might be slipping

Do you guys recommend a transmission flush at 194,000 miles. Feels like my transmission might be slipping

"They" say … that's risky if you've never "flushed" it before. Personally I don't understand that but there are a lot of things in that category. "They" also say drop the pan and let the fluid out and replace filter. Don't have an oil change place do their pump & filter thing.

Maybe others can chime in?

I’m at 203,***. I flush every other year at the dealer. Tranny shifts smooth as silk.

Did this for my 1992 BMW and I got 295,*** before tranny gave up the ghost.

I wouldn’t flush. My 2000 had a drain on the torque converter and a drain plug on the trans plan. Fluid changes were pretty easy.

But it’s your truck.
