So a few weeks ago my heater core starting leaking and after sleeping on it for weeks and thinking about the time I changed one on my blazer. I took it to the dealership and let them do it. Long story short they said a had a leak on my compressor. So my question is can it be rebuilt or should I just buy another one to replace it.

how many miles do you have? what exactly is leaking on the compressor?

with that kind of miles i would replace the compressor, orofice tube, and evaporator dryer... that way your set to go... the compressor is just a very small 8 cylinder engine with aluminum pistons and teflon piston rings... befor throwing money at it get verification on the problem... is the system working well? with the economy so slow i get cautious when shops start reccomending repairs that you didnt have a complaint about. as for the compressor you will have to replace it i would go new not reman...
