Howdy yall. Kinda lost here. Just fixed up this 05 xlt expedition. 2WD.
Only light I have left is the abs light. I'm having trouble finding the abs sensor.
I checked the rear diff and no luck. Is it in the rear wheel hubs in place as the speed sensor.
The vehicle does show speed driving down the road. No brake warning light. Also I'm not popping any codes on my scanner yet it's a bit cheap. Might have to go to orileys for a scan.
Have not checked fuses yet. Will do tomorrow and report back. Any help would be great!!

You should have the vehicle scanned for any stored trouble codes, which will point you in the direction of which sensor is affected. Some aftermarket scanners will not retrieve ABS codes.

Only trouble I have is getting the vehicle to the auto parts store. Current non op registration. Looks like I'll have to take the non op off and put insurance to get there.

Remember, parts store employees are not mechanics or trained techs. Getting a code from a store may end up with the purchase of unnecessary parts, a process known as “shooting the parts cannon” at the vehicle w/o fixing anything.

maybe as simple as a wheel speed sensor, you got 4 of them to check. Best way to do that is a scan tool where you can watch live data and graph all 4 sensors.
Measuring resistance on each sensor doesn't do anything much reliable. I had wheel speed sensors go bad and measured resistance between old and new one... didn't find anything significant.

^^THIS^^

I kid you not, every single time I have ever went to any (chain) parts store in the past 20 years (not very often), they get code(s) and will IMMEDIATELY go into pushy salesboi/gurl mode, trying to act like they know exactly what the problem is & how to fix it....BUT ONLY IF YOU SPEND UNTOLD GOBS OF MONEY....a lot of which is usually unnecessary, as you can normally find almost any part online for significantly less $$ and have it/them in a few days...

I understand that's their job, but just to be polite, I usually end up them giving some BS excuse like "well, it's my bro's/wife's/GF's car, so I'll have to check & see what he wants to do" or something to that effect :D

I guess if you need something TODAY, then so be it, but that should be the exception rather than the rule, especially if you keep up with the maintenance & check your vehicle over on a regular basis...
