when ac is on (not max) there is a whistling sound, its not really loud but its annoying enough

squeal gets louder as fan speed is increased

when on max ac no squeal

pundmann replaced blower motor...same problem

i would think it has something to do with a door not sealing when pulling outside air...but i am not a mechanic

Hi nico1544,

I recommend making an appointment at your dealership so they can check this out for you; I know they'll be happy to assist! Keep me posted on your outcome.

i am scheduled for my third appointment at the dealership for this problem...the last technician said he had no clue...they were considering trying to wrap insulation around blower motor...sounded like a band-aide fix to me

Any idea where the whistling is coming from? Not sure where the air exits the vehicle on yours but on the older expys it is right below the third brake light with the tailgate lifted. See if the flap is free or not.

Do you get a pressurization feeling when you crank the fan when not on a/c? If so I'd think blocked exit flap.

its a whistling sound

Yeah you are just going to have to try and find where the whistling is coming from and dig in. Bringing it to the dealership can be way too spendy for what it is worth. If anything, find a local small shop, I find they almost always do better work.
