Hello everybody, Newbie here, glad to have stumbled onto this forum. I recently converted my 02 XLT 4.6 liter Expy w/ factory 4 flat to a 7 pin RV/4flat combo from Hopkins (p/n 37185). Easy install and all the basics work fine, i.e. Stop, turn, and running lights. I plan on installing a Prodigy brake controller next and according to etrailer.com I can purchase a Ford specific harness to plug it into under the dash. Will I need to install any relays or fuses to complete the install? I also need to tap into the wire bundle just forward of the stock connector near the spare tire for trailer brakes(Blue) and power(Orange, I think) etc. Thanks in advance for sharing any advice or experience with this!

If I am not mistaken, the Harness pkg from Ford that came with every vehicle with a factory hitch had a relay in it too. I might have one from a 2002 F150 I could sell you cheap. I'll check and let you know.

I actually have 2....one for a 2002 F150 Harley Davidson edition, and one for a 2005 Explorer. The F150 harness has 2 relays. If someone has the part numbers for the ones for Expy's, I can check to see if they are the same (as I would think they are).
