Anyone added the oem 4wd tow hooks to their 2wd 3rd gen? Ordering parts and making some upgrades to my 2012 in preparation of getting a TT. Figured being a 2wd it may not hurt to have tow hooks on the front as a more secure way for someone to tie up if I'm in trouble at a squishy campground.

I would think just ordering oem hooks/bolts and they should bolt right up?

well you've got me curious so now I want to look into this as well. I will say, it would be a good idea to get a soft shackle and a recovery rope ( classic, kinetic, what ever your budget allows ), that should get you out most scenarios. ( you can use the soft shackle to wrap around your control arm )

Yes. Junkyard.

I’m assuming my 4x4 had a brush guard on it prior to me owning it and therefore the tow hooks were gone. A trip to the JY fixed that problem. Like $15 total.

I just did same. It looks like it needs a bezel or trim cover. Did you add one?
