advice on buying rims and rubber from ebay

i say as long as they come with some sort of warranty during shipping, go for it.

i havnt heard anything bad... but check out www.discounttiredirect.com i had great luck there plus i got a killer internet price with all of the local shop advantages

I see you are from Canada. I've bought 3 sets of rims of ebay. No problems. I live in Canada too, and the price of tires and rims up here are insane.
My only advice is if you are getting them from the US and live anywher near the border, have them shipped to a UPS Supply Chain Solutions on the US side, or something similar, and go pick them up there. I did that twice, and paid very little for shipping. The 3rd time, I figured I'd save the gas, and have them shipped to my house ( about 45 minutes north of the border). Not only was shipping double, UPS charged me another $100 when they got to the door for a border brokerage fee.
PS. Where abouts are you from in the Great White North? I'm in Taber, Alberta. About 2 hours south of Calgary.

Buying experiences on ebay vary depending on the seller you are buying from (their are millions of different sellers on ebay). Make sure you read their feedback (especially the negatives), read the full auction description carefully, and make sure items are shipped with a tracking number. With that said, I have gotten some excellent deals on ebay for tires and rims.

i got a coworker who bought 24's w/tires and they were perfect...he's happy and saved about $1000
