Just purchased 2017 Expedition Limited EL Silver 4X4 with 2nd row bucket seats. As there is an empty space between the seats there is no console between the seats. I understand this allows access to the 3rd row seats but the bucket seats also lift up for 3rd row access.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket product that would go between the seats for a center console?

Looking for something that can be used as a storage area as well as cup holders.

What about the stock one? or.... Lots on consoles online just measure one and stick it in.

I did not know Ford made a stock center console for the 2nd row bucket seats. Thank you for pointing this out. It looks great. Here is the part number I found. This is for the black with red stitching. For the black stitching us AA as the last two digits.

Thank you for this information.

I believe that is for Explorers. There is a Navigator console you can often find on eBay that will fit. The Expedition either has the center seat, or buckets, there is no factory console option.

Guys, Thanks for all the responses.

As I know there are many options I was trying to see what others have done in this situation. I like the idea of a 12v fridge but for my usage that would not get used very much. Was hoping to find something that would keep with the interior like the console listed above. It does show it will fit the 2017 expedition just not the limited, what I have, with out modifications.

Still searching as there is no urgency to resolve this. Currently I have a plastic heavy duty storage bin there that allows me to keep items like receiver, gloves and a couple of basic tools and that is working fine for now.

Again Thanks for all you ideas.

You'll want the navigator 2nd row console

Expedition and Navigator floors and second row seats are identical so it'll fit perfect

Just remember the console will interfere with your cargo area. Here is a pic from the 2016 brochure. The console doesn't fold down.

Console people and cargo room people are genetically distinct breeds

If cargo people want a couch in the back experience, they go onto craigslist and search for "free couch"

Little snarky don't ya think? You realize he wants the console for storage (aka CARGO) right???? I carry two Grandchildren to school daily and have a family of 6 to haul when I need to. But when I want to haul something as big as a 4x8 sheet of plywood I want to lay the seats down in the EL and go for it. No console in the way. I have the best of both worlds and didn't have to chose. Room is why I didn't by an Import SUV. I bet some of the smart people here could design a console that filled the "where do I put my cups?" and how do I have a console that is no higher than the seat folded down. Even my Tucson I had the console was height adjustable. OP was asking for suggestions and I just wanted him to be aware so he can make an informed decision without polluting it with my opinions. Just sayin....

My '07 came with the bench second seat but others had just removed the console. It was probably one engineer that said " Hey, a console in the back would be cool", and then another one said "but we better make a bench optional just in case".:emotions34:

LMAO...looks like you really struck a nerve with this one...It's clearly a joke guys, lighten up.

But people concerned with cargo and people looking for a console are generally of 2 different antithetical groups. The console is inherently a luxury/convenience item; hence why it was only available for the Navis. People concerned with cargo space are looking to maximize every sq. inch and would never consider a console, because it cuts down on valuable real estate. If we're being honest with ourselves. most of us vary between the 2 groups but know we lean towards one. I'd say I probably lean 75/25 for console over cargo.

A smiley face at the end of the statement might have help. Kinda like people typing in all caps and not realizing they are yelling. Oh well, if it was just a joke

I bought a brand-new-in-box Navigator console for my 2009 EL (Charcoal Black) but I didn't install it because of the way it interfered with being able to haul cargo. I had hoped to find a practical way of making it removable without too much hassle. I never did.

One nice thing about the 2015 Explorer console was the way the lid opened the console would be flush with the second row seats. You could still haul stuff this way. But, the navigator console isn't designed like that.
