You experts help me out again as you have few times before please.2000 4.3 air works fine as far as being cold,when i press gas stops flowing from vents and comes out defrosters.What do i look for as far as hoses i seem to heard about before and could someone tell me where they are located?If i can get my old butt to it ill try to fix myself.Thanks,Paul

My guess would be a vacuum leak. under the center of the dash on the drivers side just to the right of the gas pedal just above the lower plenum theres a vacuum regulator for the ac system start there.

After grandson came over and did a search on probem turned out to be a vacume line problem right near battery that broke.New vacume line and works as new now,Bout 10 in and 5 bucks later.Thank god for pc savy grandson,and now my wife thinks i,m a great mechanic!Paul

Haha I do the same thing for my grandparents. The Internet is a powerful tool, since there is always someone who has had the problem first... Glad you got it fixed!
