Air Dam / Valance Removal Instructions

The manual says remove the 8 bolts to remove it if taking off-road…..looks like a lot more involved than that to me. Does anyone know where to find instructions or removal videos? There seem to be multiple parts…..the flexible front, then a rigid plastic frame…bolts and snap fittings all over the place. Any info or pointers welcomed and appreciated!

There is the bolts that you've already found. Then there are the white finger like clips that need to be removed (x10). I will say that these depending on the age are guaranteed to break during removal. After that it just falls off. Several of the bolts need to be reinserted to keep the wheel liner at the front in place. I think I reinstalled all of the bolts I removed to keep them in case I needed them again in the future.

So when you remove the thin plastic part shown in blue above, does the larger thick plastic piece (looks somewhat structural) also come off? It’s the same size as the blue part, it’s just behind it…..it’s a fairly large piece. It looks like removing the bolts and clips might just remove the thinner outside part….

Only the rubber valance comes off. Anything else related to the bumper (plastic) stays behind.
