Success. New pump fitted, tank back in, drives like a champ. Took me less than an hour to put it all back to together. Hope fully I dont have that to do again. As suspect the vent hose at the top was the tricky bit but an assortment of 1/4" drive extensions with a flat blade tip on the end gave me reasonable access. All in all its a pretty straightforward job with complications or special tools needed but a ramp would have been a god send.
